Care Team

First Monday of the month at 1:00 PM, often by Zoom.

Supports homebound members, provides grief support, manages the prayer chain, organizes volunteer transportation services, and takes on other caring tasks for members of Holy Cross.

Card Ministry

Generally meets bi-monthly on a Saturday from 9:00-11:00 AM

We assemble seasonal and holiday cards for homebound members and those facing challenges.  Between meetings, some members design the cards and create the card kits to be assembled.

Doll Ministry

Meets the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month from 6:00 to 8:00 PM

We make cloth/yarn dolls for children in crisis.

FIT (Faithful Innovations Team)

Meets first Monday of the month.

We discern, discover, and engage the congregation in faithful innovations and ministries that provide respite for a world in need. This group also oversees parts of the newly forming "Food Ministry," which includes the Blessing Box, St. Basil's Closet, food donations for Community Table, and Blessing Bags. Soles for Souls is also overseen by this team.

Food and Helping Ministries

This ministry is currently under FIT listed above.

We are newly forming this ministry in response to the numerous patrons who stop by the church primarily in need of food. Non-perishable food items are collected through in-kind donations and Thrivent grants. Currently this ministry encompasses the Blessing Box, St. Basil's Closet, food donations for Community Table, and Blessing Bags.

JEDI (Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion)

Usually meets the second Monday of the month at 7:00 PM by Zoom.

We sponsor Wednesday evening classes on topics related to justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion within and outside of the ELCA, as well as other projects related to these topics.

Sewing Group

Meets the first and third Mondays of the month at 9:30 AM.

We make tied quilts for organizations that distribute them to those in need.
